Peabody Institute Library
The Peabody Institute Library of Danvers is housed in a Georgian Revival building originally dedicated in 1892. In 1980, the Library added 12,000 square feet which now features a Children's Room and Archival Center.

Select Board
As Danvers' chief elected officials, we take our roles a stewards of the public trust and tax dollars very seriously. As such, we work with staff, volunteers, and a myriad of stakeholders to ensure that the service needs of residents and businesses are balanced carefully against the willingness and ability of taxpayers (including those same residents and businesses) to support those services - now and in the future.

Town Meeting
Town Meeting is a group of 149 elected residents who meet each year on the 3rd Monday in May to vote on a variety of matters related to the operations of the Town including appropriating the annual budget and making changes to zoning and other by-laws.

Town Manager’s Office
The Town Manager is the Chief Executive Officer for the Town of Danvers and serves at the pleasure of the Select Board. The position was created in 1949, with the adoption of the Town Manager Act, and provides leadership and administrative oversight to all departments, except for Library and Schools. The current Town Manager, Steve Bartha, was hired in December of 2014.
