Birth, Death & Marriage Information
You first need to confirm your record is on file in Danvers. Birth records are held in the city/town of birth and the city/town the parents lived at the time of birth. Any refund for incorrect orders can take up to 30 days.

$10.00 - per certified copy
You may obtain a certified copy of a birth certificate by ordering online, by visiting the Office of the Town Clerk during normal business hours or by mailing your request along with the $10 fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope to Town Clerk, Danvers Town Hall, 1 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
Required Identification
A record is not accessible to the general public if the parents were unmarried at the time the child was born (and have not since married and amended the birth record) or if the father's name does not appear on the record. When this is true, only the mother, father (if listed), or child may request a certificate; identification will be required. Identification is not required for other records.

Burial permits are issued through the Electronic Death Registration System. Funeral directors will need to sign into the system and generate the Permits. You can do this 24/7, then the death certificate will be processed on the next regular business day.
Once you generate the Burial Permit you are required to pay the $25 burial permit fee. That fee can be paid online through the following this link. Or if you prefer you can pay by cash or check in the Danver's Town Clerk's Office at 1 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.

When You Should Apply
The marriage license is valid for 60 days from the day you apply (after the three-day waiting period).
Apply for your license no sooner than 60 days before your planned wedding date.
Location of Marriage
If the marriage is to take place in Massachusetts, you may apply for your license at any city or town clerk's office in Massachusetts regardless of where you live. Fees and hours vary from office to office.
If your marriage is going to take place outside of Massachusetts, you must contact the local officials in the jurisdiction where the marriage will take place. Marriage laws vary from state to state.
License Fee - $30
This fee includes the license and one certified copy of the marriage certificate.
