Department Policy
Property Folders are available to be viewed in person in the Inspectional Services Department located at Town Hall, 1 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923. All files are public record and you may take photos. You may request photo copies for a fee. No appointments are required.
- View issued permits from July 2009 - May 30, 2023. Permits prior to 2009 were before our online permitting system. To view issued permits please visit Town Hall to review the Property Folder.
- View issued permits starting May 30, 2023 on OpenGov can be searched by address only. The Active Status on a permit can mean the following: A permit has been applied for, or a permit that is currently open. A CLOSED permit will say Complete.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Are there any violations on my property? Open permits are considered a violation in the Inspectional Services Department. Please contact the main office on how to close a permit. 978-777-0001 Ext. 3061 or 3062
- Do you have a Plot Plan of my property? Certified Plot Plans are not a service the Town of Danvers provides. A Mortgage Survey/Plot of Land are not an acceptable document.
- Do you have building plans of my property? In some instances we may have old building plans in our archive in the basement. We do not have the capability to make copies of these plans. You may leave a deposit of $100 cash along with a copy of your drivers license to make copies of these plans. Newer building plans may have been uploaded to the application in which you would be able to download.
