EV Time of Use Rate Pilot Program

Danvers Electric - TOU Rate

Danvers Electric is currently offering an Electric Vehicle Time of Use (TOU) Rate Pilot Program for customers that have a Level 2 EV Charger installed in their homes. By enrolling in this program, customers will receive a lower electricity rate when charging EVs during off-peak hours when demand is lower, (7:00 PM - 12:00 PM) compared to on-peak hours when demand is higher (12:00 PM - 7:00 PM). Charging EVs during off-peak hours helps to balance the system load and avoid peak energy, capacity, and transmission cost.

This program will begin in late summer/early fall and run for one year. Customers will be required to commit to this rate classification for a period of 12 months. For more information on the program and to sign up, please visit www.danversma.gov/801/Electric-Vehicle-Time-of-Use-Rate.

If you have any questions about the Time of Use Rate Pilot Program please reach out to Jeff Elie, Energy Resource Manager at jelie@danversma.gov.
