1. How do I pay a parking ticket on line?

You may pay your parking ticket on line at UniPay.

Payments will be processed weekly, if you need immediate response on a ticket payment to be cleared at the Registry please visit Town Hall - Treasurer/ Collectors Office during business hours, Monday through Wednesday 8 am to 4 pm, Thursday 8 am to 7 pm, Friday 8 am to 12 pm.

*Please note that late fees are charged for parking tickets not paid within 20 days of issuance. If you are unsure of the amount owed, please contact the Treasurer/Collectors Office at 978-777-0001x 3052, or 3050.

2. How do I report an electric billing issue?

If you have an issue with your electric bill please feel free to email Business Department. Please call 978-774-0005 and select option 3.

3. How do I pay my property taxes?

You can pay taxes in person by visiting the Treasurer's office on the first floor of Town Hall; by mailing payment to the Treasurer's Office, 1 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923 or use UniPay.

4. How do I pay or appeal a boating citation or violation?

Pursuant to the authority granted by c.102/90B/111 of the General Laws and c.28 s.3(1)/8(3) of the Town By-Laws:

The Town of Danvers authorizes the Harbormaster and Assistant Harbormaster's to enforce all state and local laws in Danvers Harbor. Any violation of equipment, safety and operational standards may be enforced by means of non-criminal citation pursuant to c.40 s.21D of the General Laws or by means of criminal complaint.

What Should I Do if I Received a Ticket/Citation?

If you were issued a "Massachusetts Uniform Environmental Violation Notice", the fine must be paid no later than 21 days after the date of violation to the Clerk Magistrate of Salem District Court 65 Washington Sq. Salem, MA 01970. If you are requesting a hearing, you must mail the citation along with a written request for a hearing to: Salem District Court 65 Washington Sq. Salem, MA 01970. Note: If violation is not paid within 21 days a criminal complaint is issued.

If you were issued a "Danvers Harbor Violation", you have 21 days from the date of issue to pay the fine or request a hearing. If you are paying a fine or requesting a hearing, you must mail the violation along with payment or written request for a hearing to: Danvers Harbormaster's Office 1 Sylvan Street Danvers, MA 01923. Note: If violation is not paid within 21 days a criminal complaint is issued.

If a Town Ticket was issued for "failure to obtain a permit sticker" you must obtain the permit prior to mailing in the fine payment. Do not mail cash. Only Postal Note, Money Order or Check.

5. How do I pay my mooring or dockage permit fee?

Mooring, dockage, slip and waiting list fees can be paid in person at the Harbormaster's Office, 8 Harbor Street or online using the link below. This link will bring you to our secure application site where you will be able to apply for or renew permits, apply to a waiting list, review your mooring and inspection information, view your mooring location, as well as make online payments.

6. How do I pay my excise taxes?

You can pay taxes in person by visiting the Treasurer’s office on the first floor of Town Hall; by mailing payment to the Treasurer’s Office, 1 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923, or use UniPay.

7. How do I pay my personal property taxes?

8. How do I request a municipal lien certificate?

You may obtain a municipal lien certificate (MLC) by visiting the Office of the Treasurer/ Tax Collector during normal business hours or by mailing your request (see attached request form) along with the $50 fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope to "Treasurer/Tax Collector", Danvers Town Hall, 1 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.

9. How do I find out about delinquent property tax?

10. How do I pay my water bill?

You can pay a water/sewer bill in person during normal business hours or after-hours in the drop box at the Department of Public Works Business Office located at 2 Burroughs Street, Danvers, MA 01923, by mail or at the Danvers Utility Site. Customers may now also pay their utility bills by phone or via text message with an electronic check, credit card or debit card.

11. How do I appeal a parking ticket?

You may appeal a parking ticket in emailing Catherine Ellsworth or writing, Town Clerk at 1 Sylvan Street, Town Hall within 21 calendar days from the date the ticket is issued. 

Note: Please include a letter stating the ticket number, date, any supporting documentation etc. and the reason you feel the ticket should be waived. If you have any questions, you may reach Catherine at 978-777-0001, ext. 3046.
